Nature Store is open for the 2024 Season April - October, 2024
Located inside the TNWR Administration Building, the Friends of Turnbull Nature Store is open 4 days each week- Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 10 am - 4 pm. It is staffed by Friends of Turnbull member volunteers, who are Refuge Ambassadors/Nature Store Sales staff. The Nature Store sells books for adults and children, T-shirts and Sweatshirts, hats, wildlife related jewelry, pins, stickers, mugs, and other items such as greeting cards, postcards, magnets, and toys.
The store uses a Point of Sale (POS) system which is easy to operate, and we are adding barcodes and a scanner this year to make finding the items in the system much easier to locate. We provide training and promise a fun and interesting experience volunteering in the Nature Store. We organize 2 3-hour shifts each day and need up to 8 volunteers each weekend!! The Nature Store shift hours are from 10am – 1pm and 1pm – 4pm.
To sign up for Volunteer Training, email naturestore@fotnwr.org.
Next training day is June 21, 2024 from 1:00 - 2:30 pm ; or contact activities@fotnwr.org to schedule a training.
